Scott Sheldon is one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies in America in 2013

Inc. has released its top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States for 2013 and Scott Sheldon has made the list.

“You are among some pretty impressive company—which is exactly where you belong,” quoted Ed Schurenburg, Editor in Chief at Inc. magazine in his letter announcing their placement.

Scott Sheldon stands alongside powerhouses such as Timberland, Clif Bar, Intuit, Otterbox, LivingSocial and Under Armour and is very proud of their achievement. “Representing and giving back to the Northeast Ohio community is important to us and we are happy to contribute to its progress and development,” said Mary Ellen Mattison. “I am especially proud to be in 34th position for this area.”

Scott Sheldon celebrated the good news in their weekly business meeting where CEO Scott Spyker busted out his Les Paul guitar and played a rendition of “We Are the Champions.”  Spyker will be attending the Inc. 500 | 5000 Conference this coming October to accept the award, sans guitar.

For 32 years, Inc. has welcomed the fastest-growing private companies in America into a very exclusive club.  Make no mistake: The Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever it its history, according to the magazine.

“We are consultants that care about your business.  I realize that sounds a bit cliche, but after working for large firms I wanted to provide my customers with the personal attention they deserve at a fair price. That is what Scott Sheldon is all about,” said Spyker on what makes them different.  “I like a good challenge. The projects that businesses typically hate doing and spending money on are the ones we thrive on.  We’re not afraid of a little dirt. We’ll roll up our sleeves and get down in the trenches with you.”
